Golden State Water Company

Serving over 1 million Californians, Golden State Water Company (GSWC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American States Water Company, provides water service to approximately 264,000 customer connections located within more than 80 communities in Northern, Coastal and Southern California.

Massachusetts

American States Utility Services, Inc. (ASUS) and its subsidiary, Bay State Utility Services LLC, provides water and wastewater services to the United States Coast Guard at Joint Base Cape Cod. The 15-year contract began in 2023.

Kansas

American States Utility Services, Inc. (ASUS) and its subsidiary, Fort Riley Utility Services, Inc., provides water and wastewater collection and treatment services to the United States Army at Fort Riley in Kansas. The 50-year privatization contract began in 2018.

Florida

American States Utility Services, Inc. (ASUS) and its subsidiary, Emerald Coast Utility Services, Inc., provides water and wastewater services to the United States Air Force at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. The 50-year privatization contract began in 2017.

South Carolina

American States Utility Services, Inc. (ASUS) and its subsidiary, Palmetto State Utility Services, Inc., provides water and wastewater services to the United States Army at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. The 50-year privatization contract began in 2008.

North Carolina

American States Utility Services, Inc. (ASUS) and its subsidiary, Old North Utility Services, Inc., provides water and wastewater services to the United States Army in North Carolina at Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg), Pope Army Airfield and Camp Mackall. The 50-year privatization contract began in 2008.

Virginia

American States Utility Services, Inc. (ASUS) and its subsidiary, Old Dominion Utility Services, Inc., provides water and wastewater services to the United States Air Force and Army at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, the United States Navy and Army at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, along with wastewater services to the United States Army at Fort Gregg-Adams (formerly Fort Lee). The 50-year privatization contracts began in 2006.

Maryland

American States Utility Services, Inc. (ASUS) and its subsidiaries provide water and wastewater services in Maryland.  Terrapin Utility Services, Inc., provides services to the United States Air Force and Navy at Joint Base Andrews. The 50-year privatization contract began in 2006.  Patuxent River Utility Services LLC provides services to the United States Navy at Naval Air Station Patuxent River.  The 50-year privatization contract began in 2023.

Texas / New Mexico

American States Utility Services, Inc. (ASUS) and its subsidiary, Fort Bliss Water Services Company, provides water and wastewater services to the United States Army at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. The service area also includes Dona Ana, MacGregor, and Myers Range Camps located in New Mexico. The 50-year privatization contract began in 2004.

Bear Valley Electric Service, Inc. Headquarters

Bear Valley Electric Service, Inc. (BVESI), a wholly owned subsidiary of American States Water Company, distributes electricity to over 24,000 customer connections in the city of Big Bear Lake and surrounding areas in San Bernardino County, California.
