Welcome to Golden State Water Company's Region III Internet site. This is an informative resource about the Company and water issues.

Communities Served
Golden State Water Company's operations are grouped into three regions. This site focuses on Region III, serving communities in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Imperial and Orange counties. If you would like information about other areas of the company, please refer to our Links section.

Region III operations are focused in more than 30 cities and communities serving more than 93,000 customer connections. The region is divided into three districts and 10 customer service areas and operate  21 separate water systems consisting of more than 1,180 miles of transmission pipelines, meters and hydrants. Water delivered to customers' homes is surface water or pumped from local groundwater basins. On average, approximately 64 percent of the Region III water supply is pumped from 132 company-owned and operated wells. The remaining water supply is surface water purchased from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Imperial Irrigation District, Municipal Water District of Orange County and Three Valleys Municipal Water District.

Orange County District
Los Alamitos Customer Service Area
Customers living in the communities of Cypress, Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, Stanton and portions of Seal Beach receive service from the employees of the Los Alamitos Customer Service Area. The local Customer Service office is located at 10852 Cherry Street in Los Alamitos.

The water delivered to the homes in the Los Alamitos Customer Service Area is a blend of local groundwater and imported water from the Colorado River or the Bay Delta in Northern California.

Mountain/Desert District
Apple Valley/Lucerne Valley
Customers living in the communities of Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley receive service from the employees of the Apple Valley/Lucerne Valley Customer Service Area. The local Customer Service office is located at 13608 Hitt Road in Apple Valley.

The water delivered to the homes in the Apple Valley/Lucerne Valley Customer Service Area is local groundwater.

Barstow
Customers living in and around the city of Barstow, receive service from the employees of the Barstow Customer Service Area. The local Customer Service office is located at 1521 E. Main Street in Barstow.

The water delivered to the homes in the Barstow Customer Service Area is local groundwater.

Morongo Valley
Customers living in the Morongo Valley area, receive service from the employees of the Morongo Customer Service Area. The local Customer Service office is located at 49925 29 Palms Highway in Morongo.

The water delivered to the homes in the Morongo Customer Service Area is local groundwater.

Calipatria/Niland
Customers living in the communities of Calipatria and Niland receive service from the employees of the Calipatria/Niland Customer Service Area. The local Customer Service office is located at 631 S. Sorrensen Avenue in Calipatria.

The water delivered to the homes in the Calipatria/Niland Customer Service Area is imported water from the Colorado River.

Wrightwood
Customers living in the community of Wrightwood receive service from the employees of the Wrightwood Customer Service Area. The local Customer Service office is located at 1512 State Highway #2 in Wrightwood.

The water delivered to the homes in the Wrightwood Customer Service Area is local groundwater.

Foothill District
Claremont
Customers living in and around the city of Claremont receive service from the employees of the Claremont Customer Service Area. The local Customer Service office is located at 689 W. Foothill Blvd. Suite D in Claremont.

The water delivered to the homes in the Claremont Customer Service Area is a blend of local groundwater and imported water from the Colorado River or the Bay Delta in Northern California.

San Dimas
Customers living in the city of San Dimas, and portions of La Verne, Pomona and Covina receive service from the employees of the San Dimas Customer Service Area. The local Customer Service office is located 121 Exchange Place in San Dimas.

The water delivered to the homes in the San Dimas Customer Service Area is a blend of local groundwater and imported water from the Colorado River or the Bay Delta in Northern California.

San Gabriel
Customers living in the communities of Arcadia, San Gabriel, Temple City, Rosemead, portions of El Monte, Monrovia and Duarte receive service from the employees of the San Gabriel Customer Service Area. The local Customer Service office is located at 110 East Live Oak in Arcadia.

The water delivered to the homes in the San Gabriel Customer Service Area is almost entirely local groundwater with only a small portion being imported water from the Colorado River or the Bay Delta in Northern California.

Water Education Programs
Adult Programs
GSWC Water Issues Course
GSWC Region III offers a six month Water Issues Course to its city officials and customers.  The course focuses on water education and includes monthly class sessions on water topics. The program's purpose is to inform the public on the GSWC organization, water issues, rates, regulations, water quality, water conservation, water supply and the water history and water future of California.

Guest speakers, experts in the field of water, are from local water agencies and GSWC. The sessions are designed as formal presentations with an open forum for questions and discussions.

This course is open to community members, city officials, civic leaders, GSWC customers and other interested participants and is free of charge. The class is offered periodically throughout the Region III service areas. Each is held in a location that is local to the specific service area of the class.  Call 1-800-999-4033 to find out when the next course will be in your area.

In-Service Workshop for Local Educators
Region III, together with Three Valleys Municipal Water District or the Municipal Water District of Orange County present In-Service Workshops for local educators. Elementary and high school teachers are offered and provided training on water education programs that are available to them free of charge. In-Service Workshops are held once or twice a year. Landscape Workshops
GSWC hosts Landscape/Water Management Workshops for Residential Homeowners. At the workshop homeowners are instructed on basic outdoor water saving techniques. Professional and experienced instructors show the class participants how to identify landscape problems, lower their total outdoor water use, communicate water efficient practices to their gardener and also how to select the proper plants according to their water needs. School Programs
Water Conservation Education and EnviroScape Presentations
Region III provides a Water Conservation Education Program to schools throughout its service areas. In this on-going program, GSWC educates elementary school students on water conservation, water awareness and water pollution. GSWC visits schools in its communities and conducts in-class presentations and demonstrations. The presentations include a water conservation video, discussion and demonstration of the EnviroScape model. The EnviroScape model demonstrates water pollution and its prevention on an exhibit that contains a watershed, industrial/commercial building, farm, highway, forest, stream bank and lake shore. At the presentations, water awareness and water conservation literature and materials are distributed to the students. Teachers interested in having GSWC visited their classrooms are encouraged to call 1-800-999-4033 to request the presentation.

Elementary School Water Education Theater Plays
Each year, during April and May, GSWC provides its customer service area elementary schools with water conservation/education performances of theater style plays. The plays are presented by theater companies, that visit the schools, performing during assemblies that are dedicated to water conservation. The plays teach children the importance of conserving water and encourages wise water use. The students enjoy the performances and are eager to participate. Community Events and Programs
Annual Water Awareness Celebration and GSWC Open House
Each year, Golden State Water Company presents an Annual  Water Awareness Celebration in May. The event is held on a Saturday at the General Office in San Dimas (630 East Foothill Blvd.). Over 1,000 customers attend this celebration which includes the following activities: Fire Hydrant Painting Contest, open house tour, water educational video showings, water conservation information booth, safety booth, interesting displays, fire engine, police vehicle, game booths, face painting, hot dogs, free balloons, Sheriff's Department, Fire Department, a recycle booth and more.  It is a day filled with water conservation information and water awareness education.
